[ AnimeResistance ]

Welcome to AnimeResistance, the Reed college anime club. This site is a catalogue of the anime AR has donated to the IMCs. Since there's no convenient way to search for "anime" using their card catalogue, this offers a way to consolidate information as well as provide new information. While aimed at the Reed anime club, this site should also prove helpful for anyone researching anime (it's just that it's limited to what we got). This site is designed and maintained by wren, the second signator of AR.

So, without furder ado, here's the index of the anime.

But first, a note about my Romanization strategy. There are a number of different ways to render Japanese into "Rômaji", that is, the roman alphabet. I have used a variation on the Hepburn system since it's the easiest to read if you don't know Japanese. All long vowels are indicated with circumflexes like so: â î û ê ô. On occasion I have left "ei" and "ou" instead of converting them to "ê" and "ô". When it is necessary to distinguish syllabic "n" from the regular one (e.g. 「んや」 vs 「にゃ」) I'll put an apostrophe afterwards (e.g. "n'ya" vs "nya"). Syllabic "n" I've always written as "n" rather than assimilating it to "m" where appropriate (i.e. before "b", "p", "m", "f"). The particle 「を」 I have translitterated as "wo" even though the "w" is silent.

Also, in Japanese the family name comes before the given name. Sometimes translators will keep the original order, sometimes they'll reverse the order so it matches the English. This can cause great confusion. On this site, where I've been able to discern which name is which they'll be written in the Japanese order with the surname in capitals like this: ARGETLAHM wren.
